Apple Event - Apple's Spring Loaded 2021
Within the last year, Apple has shown us what flexibility looks like amid a pandemic. Last night’s ‘Spring Loaded’ event was no different. Through a captivating livestream and the introduction of exciting new products, Apple’s first big launch of 2021 captured the world’s attention.
Here are some my favourite products and moments from ‘Spring Loaded’:
1. iMac
There's never been a more exciting time for the Mac! Apple surprised us all with its new design for the all-in-one device. Not only do the new iMac models feature flat backs and slimmer borders around their screens, but they also come in a spectrum of vibrant colours. Further, they are powered by Apple’s custom M1 chip and have brilliant 4.5K Retina displays. I’m immensely excited about this product, especially its improved 1080p FaceTime HD camera that will allow us all to remain connected to one another!
2. AirTag
The next time you misplace your keys, the AirTag will find them! And to differentiate your AirTags from others’, you can personalise them with emojis. This fun and long-anticipated product will compete with the Tile and Samsung's smartTag.
3. Apple TV 4K
The Apple TV has been upgraded and the iPhone can now be used to tune the TV’s picture quality! With a new processor and advanced sensors, I’m excited for even better picture quality and smoother videos on my home TV. Apple has also redesigned the Apple TV’s remote, which now is made of aluminum and features a directional pad, Siri toggle, and a power button.
5. iPad Pro
As anticipated, Apple announced the upcoming release of a new iPad Pro that uses an M1 chip and offers 5G support, making it the most powerful tablet on the market. The device will also feature a stunning 12.9-inch Liquid Retina XDR display and an improved screen with even better colour resolution.
Tim Cook aptly said: "At Apple, our values and principles make us who we are. They drive us to create products and services that are better, easier, and more enjoyable."
There is plenty to look forward to with these new releases, and I’m excited for what is to come! What were your favourite moments from last night’s event?
