Universal and Warner Brothers are reportedly working with Apple and Comcast on a premium-movie download service that would introduce new movies on demand just weeks after their box-office release. The studios, trying to make up for a drop in DVD sales, had been working with cinema chains on a profit-sharing scheme that would create a $30 to $50 movie-download package. SHOULD BE QUITE INTERESTING SINCE COMCAST IS.... REPORTEDLY....THE MOST HATED AMERICAN CORPORATION. MAYBE APPLE MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER WHO IT DOES BUSINESS WITH....THE BIG QUESTION IS WHO WILL DO THE SALES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE END OF THE VENTURE.....ANNND.....WHO WILL BACK UP PROMISES TO CONSUMERS. I'M NO INVESTMENT WHIZ KID....BUT I KNOW COMCAST'S TACTICS INTIMATELY......I WOULDN'T TOUCH THIS WITH A PROVERBIAL 10FT POLE. LET THE BUYER BEWARE WITH ANYTHING HAVING TO DO WITH COMCAST. FROM AN HONEST CONSUMER WHO HAS BEEN BURNED FROM TWO DISASTROUS COMCAST ENCOUNTERS.....THE SMOKE STILL RISES.
