H&M, Autodesk, JPMorgan Chase, and Workday?have committed $100 million to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The move is part of an effort started by several major tech companies to jumpstart the carbon dioxide removal industry.

India registered an all-time high in goods and services exports?of US $770 billion although global economic uncertainty has demonstrated the country’s export sector’s resiliency. The Apparel Exports Promotion Council (AEPC) said that apparel exports reached a new high.

Labour disruptions halt operations at LA & Long Beach ports, which is one of the world’s largest ports. The American Apparel & Footwear Association stated a company which typically has 11 container deliveries shipped every year in time for the holiday season, has so far only been able to get 3 of its usual 11 shipments.

More than 300 workers?at Saitex International’s factory in the Vietnamese province of Dong Nai went on strike for more than 6 hours on Monday to protest the denim manufacturer’s policy of penalizing employees for mistakes that lead to product defects.

1,000 facilities or more?have achieved its Step Certification, with over 1,030,000 workers in these facilities receiving fair wages and working under safe and socially responsible conditions.

Trade unions and workers' rights NGOs are urging the EU?to stop funding MADE in Myanmar project, claiming it legitimises the military rulers. The €3 million EU grant aims to strengthen responsible business practices in the textile, clothing, and footwear sector with contributions from brands.

Sri Lanka donated a consignment of 4.6 tons of apparel?to the victims of the recent earthquake in Türkiye. Industries Timex Garments, Sumithra Garments, DIAL Textile and several Civil Society Organizations contributed to the donation.
