APOC - On-site & Remote Workspace
In cooperation with the German Aerospace Center (DLR), concepts for the workspace design of a future on-site and remote APOC from a user-centered perspective were developed.
The on-site and remote workspace showed different design requirements. The challenge for the on-site workspace was to create a flexibly adaptable workspace depending on user needs and end devices. The focus of the remote workspace was on connecting the spatially separated users by creating a virtual room in addition to the conventional computer workspace.
A common responsive design approach was developed so that an APOC could be implemented at different airports with varying requirements. Therefore, an HMI, a mixed and virtual reality concept as well as the workspace itself were designed. Storyboards were used to develop application-related user journeys, which led to iterative and user-centered optimization of the concepts. To show a vision of the future workplace in APOC, the concepts were merged into a unified workspace design.
