APIIT Sri Lanka Triumphs at NCUK 2024 Partner Awards

Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) Sri Lanka achieved remarkable success at the prestigious NCUK 2024 Partner Awards, held on Tuesday, 26 November 2024, during the NCUK Global Engagement Conference at the University of Huddersfield. The event brought together colleagues from Study Centres and NCUK University Partners from around the globe to celebrate the exceptional achievements of NCUK Study Centres worldwide.

APIIT Sri Lanka emerged as a shining example of excellence, receiving multiple accolades that underscore its commitment to academic innovation and student success. APIIT Sri Lanka was honored with the Excellence in Student Experience Award – Asia, and the highly coveted Champion of Champions: Student Experience (Global) award.

Adding to these laurels, was recognized with the Outstanding Contribution to NCUK: Individual award. These acknowledgments reflect the institute’s commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment that prioritizes the needs and aspirations of its students, while helping to advance the mission of NCUK through innovation and collaboration.

In addition to these prestigious wins, APIIT Sri Lanka earned nominations in several other categories, including Excellence in Student Recruitment – Asia, Excellence in Academic Administration Award – Asia, and Strategic Growth & Ambition Award – Asia.

APIIT’s triumph is particularly noteworthy, standing out among 13 Study Centres in South Asia and over 70 Study Centres across Asia. This achievement builds on its legacy of academic excellence. As the first and only institute in Sri Lanka to offer the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) – an A Level equivalent qualification that bridges secondary and tertiary education – APIIT provides students with pathways to NCUK partner universities worldwide.

Last year, APIIT’s commitment to excellence was highlighted when nine students were recognized globally as top-performing NCUK students, receiving prestigious Academic Prize Awards. Among these accolades was the Regional High Achiever Award, which honored the top NCUK IFY student from the South Asia region.

APIIT Sri Lanka is a higher education institution that operates in partnership with University of Staffordshire, UK and NCUK, a pathway provider to over 60 universities around the globe. APIIT Sri Lanka also has partnerships with Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, Malaysia and Southern Cross University, Australia.

APIIT Sri Lanka has to-date, turned out nearly 6000 graduates who have completed their University of Staffordshire awards in Computing, Business and Law in Sri Lanka, making a considerable contribution to the human capital development of the country.
