Federal Acquisition Professionals: Request Your In-Person or Virtual Free Resources Briefing

Federal Acquisition Professionals are invited to request an in-person or virtual stop on the APEX Accelerators Roadshow to bring the knowledge of the free resources and support available to businesses in their area.

APEX Accelerators Roadshow
Complete this short request form to let us know you are interested in bringing?the virtual or in-person APEX Accelerator Roadshow briefing?to your city.

The purpose of the APEX Accelerators Roadshow is to spread the word about the local resources available for companies who are looking for opportunities to do business with the DoD at 96 APEX Accelerators across the country. The Roadshow briefings, both in-person and virtual ones, will be conducted by Mr. Khalil Mack , Director, APEX Accelerators.

"APEX Accelerators are essentially the front door for businesses to gain the education and training to become capable of participating in federal, state, and local government contracts," explained Mack.

Previously known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP), the program was rebranded to APEX Accelerators when it was transferred from the Defense Logistics Agency to the Department of Defense Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) last year.

OSBP is making enhancements to the program to help businesses learn how to successfully navigate the procurement process which can be complicated and confusing for a wide range of businesses including entrepreneurs and small businesses. However, the mission remains unchanged to continue increasing the number of Defense Industrial Base (DIB)-ready and Government Industrial Base (GIB)-ready businesses (including local and state governments) comprised of:

  • Disadvantaged Businesses (SDBs)
  • Historically Under-utilized Business Zones (HUBZones)
  • Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOSBs)
  • Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSBs), and
  • Other underserved small businesses

The APEX Accelerators Roadshow is underway with new dates added as requests are received. Federal Acquisition Professionals are invited to use the Roadshow Request Form to start the process of scheduling a session in their area today!

This is why the institutes of the Manufacturing USA network are so vital to ensure the U.S. continues to be an innovator when it comes to how things are made. Manufacturing USA institutes bring?together industry, academia and federal partners within a growing network of advanced manufacturing institutes to increase U.S. manufacturing competitiveness and promote a robust and sustainable national manufacturing R&D infrastructure.
