Apex College organized SMART Program
In order to enhance skills for research and reinforce practical knowledge, Apex College organized Systematic Management Application and Reinforcement Techniques (SMART), spring 2017 for its undergraduate students. Apex SMART is a distinct program organized in every semester. Students of MBA IV trimester under the close guidance of some faculty members mentored this program. 800 students prepared report pertaining to Oscar winning movies, social issues, business and management issues. The mentors systematically helped participating students during research, report generation and presentation for 2 months. The final presentation, one of the mega events of the college was held on May 05, 2017 on the college. Apex SMART final presentation was observed by Principal Mr L P Bhannu Sharma, Vice Principal Mr Tika Uprety, Director of Academic Affairs Mr Vinay Kumar Sharma, Associate Directors and Head of Departments.
All participating students delivered their presentation on final day. The presentation was judged by respective faculty members.
On the final day, the students received awards for best report, best group, best presenter, best performer, and the best class. Among all 800 students, 23 students received award for best presenter. BBA IIIrd semester received award for best class.
Ms Shreeya Pandey from BBA IV semester, one of the recipients of best presenter award shared that, ‘Apex SMART has been a great platform to furnish my skills. It has helped me foster my ability to work with diverse people, confidence in mass speaking and time management and that these skills are going to be very useful for me in future. I've thoroughly enjoyed SMART’
Ms Anisha Neupane, BBA Ist semester, one of the recipients of Best Performer award expressed, ‘I feel honored to receive this award. I involved in constant learning in this two month of Apex SMART. Now I feel I can relate learning with practical world.’
Mr. Animesh Shiwakoti, MBA IV trimester student and manager of Apex SMART program shared, ‘SMART was a learning experience to us mentors as much as it was for the participants. Apex SMART was conducted successfully and all of our effort seem worthwhile.’ Eventually, the program added value to applied approach of learning.
