Apathy is not a virtue ...
Thanksgiving & Christmas Appeal
The Dayton Catholic Worker is going silent in prayer this Thanksgiving week to protest the apathy ... we stand in solidarity with all the suffering homeless within our community whose voices are ignored ... for all the people who have died this year from addictions ... can you imagine a world where nobody cares?
Conversion of heart most often begins with an act of mercy.
We only ask once a year ... sent our Christmas Appeal (above link) to 40,000 subscribers ... please review to see what we do with your money ... so far, we have received only 1 donation ... we can not do this alone ... we need your help.
Please donate what you can. Donors receive credits on all 2018 CITVN documentary and webcast productions produced by homeless people. We pray each day for all our benefactors special intentions.
... this is her aunt and every thing she has said on here is a lie she is on heroin ... [she has] 3 kids and family that tried to help her but did not wont it ... dope was more important than her kids ... she has never had a job and, she never tried to get her kids back ... iv had her kids for a little past 4 years and she has not tried to have a relationship with them either ... that's why she lost everything she had ... because of the drug
... I know this girl personally and i consider her a friend. She is in recovery living in a sober living house, and has been clean for a few months now. She has a job and is doing everything she can to get her life on track. DO NOT JUDGE HER UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN IN HER SHOES. People make mistakes ... At least she is trying to do the right thing. And you don't know the whole story ... Much love to you Heather and God Bless You.
