Australia Raises Location Offset to 30%
As part of the 2023-24 budget, the Federal Government has decided to increase the Location Offset from 16.5% to 30% from 1 July, 2023, delivering a significant boost to the Australian screen industry and broader Australian economy. This provides certainty and stability for international film and TV productions and ensures stable employment for the thousands of Australian businesses and individuals across the entire screen ecosystem.

Qantas’ Flying Kangaroo Takes Off to Japan??
Qantas has resumed direct flights between Melbourne and Tokyo for the first time in more than three years, opening up more of Asia for international travellers. The new service is the first non-stop flight between Melbourne and Tokyo’s Haneda International Airport; this will save passengers nearly two hours’ travel to downtown Tokyo compared to the Narita International Airport, which the flight operated to before the pandemic.?
