As a kid, I was certain my life was destined for stardom. No mediocrity, no ordinary path - just screaming fans, flashing lights, and maybe a world tour.
Fast forward to today, and while I was busy tweaking Excel sheets, AP Dhillon (who’s my age, by the way) went ahead and lived my dream.
Watching his incredible journey on TV, I had a moment of reckoning:
Sure, my life today is light-years better than my childhood, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. But there’s something about seeing someone your age absolutely own it that makes you pause and wonder: Am I living the life I imagined for myself?
The "Why Am I Not Cooler?" Cycle
The kicker? My kid might grow up thinking the same thing about me! It’s a funny yet humbling realization. Every generation, it seems, finds themselves wondering if they could’ve done more, been more, or achieved their wildest dreams.
But here’s what I’ve come to understand: success looks different for everyone. Some of us create music that brings the world together. Others quietly build lives filled with meaning, love, and impact that don’t require a standing ovation.

The Hidden Spotlight
Not all of us are meant to drop chart-topping beats or have a million followers. Some of us are here to vibe to the music, pay the bills, and create our own kind of harmony. And that’s perfectly okay.
In fact, the heroes behind the scenes - the parents, mentors, friends, and colleagues - are the ones who often shape the lives of those who do stand in the limelight.
So, here’s to all of us who dreamed of being rockstars but became rock-solid adults instead. We’re still the heroes of our story - and that deserves a spotlight too.
