AORTIC DISSECTING ANEURYSM

We can make several short axis views of a dissecting aneurysm that will produce as a 3D view of the whole dissection with TEE. While showing the proximal descending aorta, there is a large true lumen and a false lumen totally thrombosed. A little deeper, the false lumen is larger and remains yet totally thrombosed. Farther deeper the true lumen is smaller and the false lumen has a semi-circular thrombus. And deeper, the intimal tear and a false lumen without a thrombus.
