AOGV - changing strategies

To my astonishment, the Supermajors were among the early adopters of the AOGV during its development and field deployment. The AOGV marked a substantial shift in how intrusive maintenance and repair of live process piping systems were planned and carried out. The Supermajors possess the means to both assess the advantages and thoroughly examine this innovative technology.

The Slug Catcher case study, available at https://izomax.com/project/isolation-of-slug-catcher/, revolves around a UK operator's initial implementation of an AOGV on an offshore facility. The AOGV project involved a customer-side team as well as an IZOMAX project team and a joint effort defined the path forward. The collaboration among team members was exceptional, resulting in the successful delivery and deployment of the AOGV. Many questions arose for the first time during this endeavor.

The initial model of a large project team has now transitioned to a smaller central positioned team representing the company, which offers guidance to the end user in the planning and preparation of AOGV operations. This approach ensures that the new assets meet the necessary requirements and provides valuable advice for internal processes.

During the development of new technological innovation, the initial hurdles of resistance and energy during the approval process highlight the immense value of gaining access to the expertise within these companies. The collaborative work sessions involving both the Operator and supplier sides played a pivotal role in driving the AOGV forward and upward. Reflecting on this journey, it's truly remarkable to appreciate the collective experience, the challenges overcome, the exploration of possibilities, and the unwavering determination to ensure its success.

As framework agreements, terms and conditions, technology acceptance, and the internal core team's competency center fall into place, the AOGV is solidifying its position as the cornerstone for optimizing intrusive interactions and increasing plant uptime.
