"It was the worst course ever." | Everyday Stories (#10)

"It was the worst course ever. I had read and I prepared ... and my continuous assessment was *crap. I thought I was going to fail for the first time in my life.

This is somebody that had been keeping a 4.5 and above GPA, and this course was threatening the very existence of that. I was scared.

I remember one time after receiving the second quiz result, I just broke down in the middle of school crying, because I was confused. I didn't know what to do anymore.

... But do you know what I did?

I went back to my hostel and I wrote down a study plan for that course specifically, along with my other courses.

I used to keep a vision board just right on top of my bed, and every single semester I would write a big 5.0 and put it there, so I could always see it, and it can be stamped in my mind.

I would always write down courses and put my desired grade next to them before exams and just keep it there, and look at it, and I'm like "OK, this has happened", I'm just waiting for it to manifest in my own reality.

I went to that course and I put an "A", even though I did not know how I was going to make that "A"... but I put an "A".

After the exams had come and gone, the next semester the results were out. I was literally the only person in my WHOLE department who got an "A" in that course. It wasn't just hard for me, it was hard for a lot of people, but I was the only person who came out with an "A".

... And I was the only person who got called to the professors office to ask me "how I did it". I didn't even know what was going on, but that was what happened.
