Anything Mission in Your Life?
Barry Lewis Green
Educator, Speaker, Coach, Writer, Creator ... advancing Character Leadership and Education ... to move forward together, stronger ... engaging change.
Advancing the art and science of character leadership for world embracing educators, entrepreneurs and emerging leaders... and strong, united classrooms, companies, and communities. Let's go build a better world.
That is my current tagline on LinkedIn.
- Advancing the art and science of character leadership for world embracing educators, entrepreneurs and emerging leaders... and strong, united classrooms, companies, and communities. Let's go build a better world.?
My professional destination is Unity. My professional path is Character.
I say this because destination is Vision and path is Mission.
You can ask 100 leaders what Vision and Mission are and you will get 110 interpretations.
Merriam Webster defines Mission as, in part, a specific task with which a person or a group is charged. Vision is defined, again in part, as a thought, concept, or object formed by the imagination. Think about that.
- A thought or concept imagined for which we task ourselves with achieving.
Vision and mission. Epic Engage... as I rework a closer, more soulful sense of my own work... is intent on being The Character Leadership Company, known globally for our sincere, purposeful exploration of character as the basis for leadership locally and globally; to build that better world.
That is my intention of being seen; The Character Leadership Company for a better world.
We move the needle on the art and science of character leadership for educators, entrepreneurs and emerging leaders in doing so. That is our charge. For strong, united classrooms, companies, and communities.
I say this as I believe and contend that personal and professional Vision and Mission are vital. Vision is about what we want to BE seen. Mission is about what we intend to do in reaching that Vision. For me, at its simplest, it is about Endgame and getting there.
My Endgame is Unity... and a better world. My getting there is about exploring and lifting ever higher the notion of Character in building such.
- What is your Endgame?
- What is your charge in getting there?
Richard Bolles and his LIFE/work around career might help. Indeed might help. And Berkeley too. Either way, Endgame and the path to it... might be worth the time to ponder.
... peace, passion and prosperity.
Barry Lewis Green, aka The Unity Guy with Epic Engage
Lead, inspire, educate, and unite. Move forward together, stronger. My work is about bringing campuses, companies and communities together, moving forward stronger. I work with educators, entrepreneurs and emerging leaders to do just that. My work is about character leadership and education and its role in helping individuals and organizations build a better world at school, work, business and community. I deliver on it through speaking, coaching and development in character leadership and education. My expertise is character leadership and education. I advance unity in diversity by moving the needle on leadership and education that is high character and results forging. I speak, teach, coach, facilitate, lead, write, sing, dance, cartoon and create on that. In 1980, Professor Rolf Hattenauer changed my life. A highly respected expert in Human Resource Management, he expected much of us and he believed much in us. He was an educator and leader of high character. He was extraordinary. To this day and beyond, I try my darnedest to honor his spirit with my own work. That is another story. But I hope I did him service here.
