During a job interview, you will be asked “Do you have any questions for us?”.
Never give up the opportunity to ask questions during an interview. The type of questions you ask in an interview tells your prospective employer a lot about you and these questions can help you increase your chances of landing the job.
Company
1.?????“What do you think sets this company apart from others in the industry?”
a.?????The way they answer could be about culture, the skill level of employees, or the competitive landscape and the hiring manager will effectively pitch the company to you.
2.?????“What do you see as the biggest opportunities and challenges for the company in the next 1-3 years?”??????
a.?????This answer will give you information about the vision of the company and also the understanding of where the company needs to improve. No company is perfect and the more open the manager is about this the better
3.?????“How does your company foster innovation and creativity among employees”
a.?????Use this to understand if the company looks at continuous improvement or if it falls into the “we’ve always done it this way” category
?
Role:
4.?????“What are the biggest challenges faced by your team in the past six months?”
a.?????This tells your employer you are already interested in their challenges, and you are most likely interested in being part of the solution. You will learn a lot that might help you with the next stage of the interview or you can use the STAR method to give examples of similar challenges you have overcome before

5.?????“If I am hired, what do you expect of me in the first 30 to 60 days?”
a.?????This tells your employer that you understand your productivity must be accounted for within a time frame and that you are aligned with their expectations.
6.?????“What resources are available to employees who want to improve their skills?”
a.?????this tells them you care about growth and learning it also tells you the kind of company you're getting yourself into. A good follow-up to this would be:
b.?????Can you give me an example of a time when the company invested in employee training and saw significant productivity gains as a result?
7.?????“What does success look like when working here?”
a.?????This question will give you an insight into how performance is measured, metrics, and review processes. It may also provide critical information that you can use in future
Hiring Manager:
8.?????If I am hired for the position, what is the one piece of advice you have for me that will help me succeed here?
a.?????You are already putting your interviewer in a position to start giving you the proper guidance and also get to see the type of leader they are.
9.?????Can you tell me about your own career path and how you ended up in your current role?
a.?????People love to talk about themselves, and this will get them talking. You can also understand more about their progression and what got them promoted or why they are at the company.
10.?What does life outside of work look like for you?
a.?????This isn’t always appropriate however can be used in humanizing the interview. We all have lives outside of work and some managers may open up about hobbies, family, and passion projects. Some managers may not want to engage in this way, read the room before asking.
