200 plus waiting list at Freedom Fidos, which includes individuals contemplating suicide, lying in bed at night sweating and unable to sleep unable to regain their humanity which was lost in the terrors of war. No catalyst available to pull them out of their thoughts and back into living again with the pit in their stomach realization they simply exist while desperately seeking Really Living.

One individual on the list dreams of the day when she can once again be out in public interacting with the people she loves,: BUT her fear of falling down keeps her at home, sinking farther into the heights of depression as she wonders if help will ever come.

So many incredible people missing the camaraderie, love, and connection with their brothers and sisters which wore the uniform, which is now lost to them, asking some organization to step up and provide a Family to them with a firm conviction Freedom Fidos is that family.

One individual committed to" me and my service dog will help so many individuals." .

Five female veterans which went through Military Sexual Trauma at the hands of their cohorts resulting in SHATTERED innocence, trust, hope, and love, no longer able see the pigtails they once so proudly sported.

The husband who knows his wife is the same as she always was yet he feels the inner turmoil, guilt, and confusion, as he struggles to regain his humanity and connect and love his wife in the same manner as he once did.

The individual(s) who turn to ineffective coping measures such as drugs, alcohol, the internet, eating, affairs, the opposite sex, staying busy, and more to maybe feel alive once again. Searching for anything that allows them to know they still can love, SOMETHING. They have not become dead while still walking which is their worst fear. Seeking to reconnect with their birthright of loving life, loving open, excitement and exuberance just to be alive, feeling the indescribable joys of the heart and love.

200 plus individuals and their life story, their voices ringing in our thoughts daily. You see they want to once again regain their humanity, love open, walk among-st all of us in public, enjoy fulfilling relationships like we all are blessed to have, They want to live, love, and laugh, committed to giving back with the same degree of burning passion as when they wore the uniform. Asking Freedom Fidos, asking ME, “Please Help Me."

At Freedom Fidos we are overwhelmed with the utmost respect and awe as we have watched 42 incredible furry Canines give the gift of love and life back to their respective handlers. I, the Co-Founder, and Our Organization have done some, and the daily reality is that I can do so much more. The daily reality I live is so much gratitude to each one of you and the lives you have saved with your commitment while also knowing I can do more. I have to do more. Hearing 200 plus voices and individual experiences all becoming one with the cry, “Please help me.:

Any Hope?

All of the aforementioned individuals not caring about ego, who is in charge per se, the size of the organization, our financial budgets, how "successful" we are individually or collectively. They simply are asking: Please help me" with the promise that IF we do, what we will we watch them do in their lives will be inspirational and the ultimate feel good for all of us. You see the same warrior spirit, commitment to community and their fellow brothers and sisters isn't dead, YET, and their resiliency despite the most traumatic adversities is still burning while it may be flickering. They still have hope that not only does someone care, but also someone will collaborate with them. Someone, some organization will SEE them, believe them, and be the lucky recipient of their individual humanity and the gifts so they desperately want to offer the world, IF ONLY, they will be given a chance with a hand up, an open and inclusive organization with a firm belief that if we help them then not only is their mission not complete yet, but also, we will watch them shine brightly.

Our firm belief at Freedom Fido's is that we have a commission and calling to answer those cries for help. The only legacy which concerns us is that collectively we were an organization which said YES. We were an organization which gave the most prized gift of life back to Canines and Veterans. We collaborated with the children of the universe as our sole intention and agenda: by doing so lived a fulfilling, satisfying, peaceful, LOVE-FILLED life beyond description.

The PROMISE TO YOU, from the Co-Founders, Brinks and Matt, is that we are all in. We will knock on every door, move any mountains, overcome any barrier, love open, relentlessly connect, DO MORE, until the day we cross the rainbow bridge. We will fulfill our passion, purpose, calling, to our brothers and sisters with an unwavering commitment combined with a burning desire to watch every individual reach their full potential which is the ultimate feel good for us. We will Basque in this AMAZING life we live provided by each one of you while simultaneously stepping up and into the paradox of the sobering reality that we have so much more to do. “Please help me" will never leave our minds.

With your help we can do more, be inspired by incredible individuals who are not yet heard from, giving them their freedom and voice back. We can give them their humanity, hope, and reconnect them with their birthright we all have to feel love. We can, with the help of one of the Universes most powerful creations, canines, collaborate with these individuals and help them find themselves and the beautiful individual they once were which they know is still in there somewhere. We have. We can. We will. We can step up into our humanity and their humanity. When we accomplish that isn't that the ultimate feel good? Isn't that one thing which separates us from all the rest of the universes awesome creations?

"Please Help Me" as my owners moved to a different location and dropped me off at some new place where all my numerous other brother and sister Canines are feeling the same as me confused, broken-hearted, and wondering "what did I do wrong when I loved them, kissed their faces, ran and played with exuberance. Please help me when I got dropped off at a lonely new place filled with other Canines and people who love me but are still not my Mom or Dad I was so connected with because they wouldn't learn to understand me as a creature that is different than them but still one of the Universes children. My heart is broken, BUT maybe it can come back alive with love and connection if you will take me home.

Do you know I was the first psychologist, doctor, comedian, an natures ultimate healer? Do you know I can restore your lost humanity when all other resources fail to do so? How cool is it that with me you don't even have to express what your feeling as I just know and do everything to restore your balance? How cool is it that I wont ever judge, offer unsolicited advice, or despite the best intentions give you the wrong advice, as I just heal you: often without you even knowing what was healed.

Please choose me: I was born and raised by such incredible people who love me so much. Now I want to love you, kiss you, connect with you, sleep in your bed, heal you, and everything I do as one of the Universes most beloved creatures. If you choose me I will be there through thick and thin. The journey and joys we experience together will be beyond description. Haven't you heard that dog is god spelled backward? Please help me: BECAUSE if you do I will help you more then you ever dreamed was possible. Much Love from all of your furry friends.

Currently, since its inception five years ago, Freedom Fidos has placed 42 Service dogs with their respective handlers.Our organization has watched our handlers go from home-bound to never home, deeply afraid to fearless, powerless to powerful, always sick to mostly well, deep despair to high hope, lonely to never alone, always dizzy to C’mon-lets get busy, isolated to thoroughly engaged, falling to the floor to standing strong, lying in the dark to blissful smiles at the theme park, misunderstood to a powerful voice, blending into a crowd to iconic, entitled to elevating, and loners to leaders. The countless resiliency stories of the human spirit which we witness on a repeated basis not only could fill a book, but also, constantly make every member of the Organization thank Brinks for being the first voice to let us know our calling and commission. This view we are afforded as we watch nature’s ultimate healers collaborate with the determination of our handlers to keep serving their communities provides us with a never ending sense of purpose and fulfillment in addition to an unquenchable desire to do more. We are committed to keep making a difference as we save the lives of Canines and Veterans.
