Any Day of the Week
Yee-ha! It's Friday! Aren't you excited? Actually, it's Sunday as I write this and that means there will be posts on why you should not dread Monday. Fri- yay always confused me. Besides "Yay" being a slang for cocaine which is cheaper because it has been cut into a less pure form (The More You Know...) Friday is not exciting when you have to work Saturday.
Sometimes I maintain a travel schedule as an excuse not to work on Saturday. The finish line of the week is tiring whenever it happens. There is more to do. Another problem with "Friday worship" is people get excited at the beginning of the shift.
It isn't Friday until the work is done. I was born on a Friday and when I had a nightlife it was better to go out Friday night than Saturday. The clubs are full and it is easier to find a parking space.
Darn that responsibility. It's hard to maintain a nightlife when you have a job. Dance clubs were one of the highlights in rehab. That was the period between leaving a toxic job and finding a better position with crummy jobs in between. When you are unemployed every day is the same.

Thankfully that is not my current situation. No day should be anticipated or dreaded more than any other. I have had exciting Tuesdays. Anything good can happen anytime. Why not "Wednesyay?" People who had Thursday and Friday off were excited by Wednesday.
I am no good as hashtags. That is the Monopoly money of social media. It means something while you play the game. Off social media it is colored paper. Find what has value in your life and what really doesn't matter.
False excitement does not lead to advancement. I didn't like pep rallies in school. In the adult world there are pep rallies without cheerleaders or the Homecoming Game and they want us to get excited. I am excited by the pride of a job well done. And a paycheck which happens to post on Friday.
