Anxiety
Jill Stoppel-Davis
I help busy women ???????? ?????????????????? ?????? ????????.
If you’re feeling anxious about starting something new – a workout program, nutrition plan, or maybe even a new relationship – in most cases that’s actually a good thing.
Of course, clinically diagnosed anxiety and depression are serious matters that require medical attention. But for most of us, those butterflies in our belly are actually trying to tell us something.
We’re pushing out of our comfort zone, which is the only way to grow.
Let’s take fitness, for example.
I get it … starting a new fitness routine can be intimidating.
Maybe you’ve been out of a routine for a few months … or even a few years … and aren’t sure how to get started.
Maybe you’re not sure if you’ll be able to keep up.
Maybe you’ve gone to a big corporate gym or large-group studio in the past and gotten injured … and you’re anxious about that happening again.
If you decide to push through that anxiety and take the first step, feeling anxious about it is normal.
It means you’re on a path to physical and emotional development … a path that you can only pursue of you start doing something different.
In fact … if you’re not feeling anxious, you’re missing out.
If you’re not feeling anxious, chances are you’re stuck in your comfort zone.
And no change, growth or improvement can happen if you stay in your comfort zone.
So, if you’re feeling anxious about starting or resuming your fitness program after the summer, realize that A) you’re not alone, and B) you’re feeling anxious because you’ve made a decision to push yourself toward a better version of yourself.
Embrace those butterflies and turn feeling anxious into momentum that will propel you forward.
P.S. Whenever you’re ready for world class support, accountability and results here are a few ways we can help...
