Anticipation building
I was delighted and honoured last year to be invited to officially cut the ribbon and open the Clinical Pharmacy Congress exhibition in the North of England. Welcoming this event to Manchester, where I have worked for over 25 years, felt like a real recognition of the excellent work that is done across the country and outside of London and as one of the educational partners for the event, we at CPPE were happy to bring learners to us and our home city.
With just two weeks to go until the doors open again I know that many pharmacy professionals will be starting to plan the sessions they intend to go to, the exhibitors that they are keen to meet and talk with and maybe even the places in Manchester that they would like to explore whilst they are here. One of the sessions that I am eagerly anticipating is the chance to listen to Ann Daniels.
I have been reading a bit about her on her website and it's clear that this is someone who has achieved so much, yet recognises that it would not have happened without a whole team of people doing the right thing at the right time. With a team of people delivering for CPPE day in and day out across England, I know how important it is to have a great team that you know you can rely on. But there is always more to learn. So I will be there in that session, learning more about Ann's achievements and being challenged to think how I can improve what I do in my own role.
My colleague Caroline will be chairing the session for CPPE and for CPC North, once again demonstrating excellence in leadership skills.
I look forward to seeing people in Manchester.
