Anti-stress activities
In these trying times it's important that we do some anti-stress activities. We all are going through a lot, the stress levels are soaring high, health issues taking a toll on our minds. A few anti-stress activities surely will help us to regain the lost peace and sanity of mind.
1. ???♀? Meditation - This one simple activity doesn't consume much of our precious time but the benefit it gives, is immense. I simply don't miss out this activity. Guided meditations are good to go, just play on your smartphone, search YouTube or take subscription of an app. My go to app is thinkRight.me, i am using this app from last 1 year. Meditation helped me a lot to overcome anxiety and stay positive in this trying times.
2. Treat to the senses - Our senses need some treats as well, why not treating our senses with good smell, soothing music and tasty food? According to various studies smells of lavender and sandal reduces stress levels and calm down the nerves, so does your favorite music. Those who are foodies (like me), they may treat themselves with tasty and healthy dishes, giving a treat to the taste buds has the power to uplift the mood instantly.
3. Color books - Buy colour books and start colouring, this helps to distract the thoughts and helps to forget the day's turmoil to a great extent.
4. Call family and friends - This fulfils our social need, this reminds us we are not alone; there are people who understands us, who love to hear from us.
5. Sleep - I can compromise anything but sleep. The 8 hours devoted to sleep prepares me for next day, reduces stress level to a great extent. As Mahatma Gandhi said "As I wake up, I am reborn."
6. ?Exercise - Exercise of any form helps to reduce stress levels. Believe it or not, putting physical pressure helps to reduce mental pressure. I am a yoga person and Surya Namaskar rejuvenate my body and mind both.
7. ?Journaling - Journaling is such an important tool to release stress. Journaling helps to vent out the worries and thoughts which keeps on pestering us. Writing down the thoughts, help us to understand the problems we are facing and further solutions can be thought upon thus roadmap can be formulated based on the problem identification.
Last but not the least, practicing a hobby works as a great stress buster too. Wish all of us live a stress-free and healthy life.
