The Anti-Fractal Online World
Did you know that fractals are all around us in nature and they have a calming impact on our nervous system?
Fractals are repeating patterns, seen in the likes of leaves, snowflakes, tree branches, flowers and many more. They are one of the reasons we find nature so calming and a way to reduce our stress.
The problem is, we spend most of our day staring at something that is definitely not made up of fractals. Screens!!!
Screen time has been shown to negatively impact our stress, mental health, sleep and experiences of anxiety. This is why switch off time is so important.
And getting outdoors is a great way of helping that stress reduce. Make sure you are including switch off time in your working day (and that you encourage your team to do the same), and that you don't replace one screen for another at the end of the working day.
I'm Back On YouTube!!!
Last year, I was in a great habit of creating YouTube content. Then I took a break for Christmas...
Three months later, I'm finally back to sharing videos on YouTube! It's crazy how easy it is to drop good habits and then struggle to pick them back up again.
The first video back is an update of what I've been working on!
Creating A Positive Digital Culture
Do you want to create a positive digital culture in your organisation?
Every business uses digital solutions, but very few think about the impact these solutions have on performance, productivity and wellbeing.
My online course, Creating A Positive Digital Culture, details the difference a positive digital culture can make, how to understand your current digital culture and steps to take to improve your digital culture.
AND it includes both videos and written booklets for each module!

What A Turn Off!!
Your Digital Wellbeing Tip of the Week
This week, I want you to try the one screen rule.
The one screen rule means you aren't looking at your phone whilst in an online meeting. You're not scrolling whilst watching the latest Netflix offering (I highly recommend The Gentlemen by the way!).
You are only looking at ONE screen at a time!!
This might mean you want to keep your hands busy with something else, especially if you're used to always having your phone in your hand. You could try doodling, colouring in, crafting in some way (I love to crochet!) or using a fidget toy.
Are you going to give the one screen rule a go this week?

See you next week for more digital wellbeing insights!
