In the current climate of hyper conscious hygiene, Haymes Paint has seen an increase in demand for its Ultimate Protective Solutions ?which include a range of durable, anti-bacterial coatings.? Over the past three years, hospitals have been particularly tested with an influx of patients, repurposing of wards and an increase in operating hours. With this increase in activity, there is a need to create surfaces that can handle the increase in wear from trolley beds, equipment, and foot traffic.

Recently the Haymes Paint team had an opportunity to work with a large Victorian metropolitan hospital. With over 6,000 staff and over 300 emergency department presentations per day, it was important to provide a solution that could meet the demand of one of the busiest hospitals in the country.

The hospital had several requirements to suit the needs of its staff and patients. These requirements included:

• Smell – must be kept to an absolute minimum,
• Time – short windows (as short as 3-4 hours) for prep, prime and drying time for some high-traffic areas
• Washability – ability to withstand hospital-grade cleaning products
• Clean and tidy – Reduce mess for ease of application and fast project turnaround

• Durability – Withstand thousands of contact points of varying intensity eg. trolley beds

Ultimate Anti-Back Single Pack?

Ultimate Anti-Bac Single Pack? uses the latest low-sheen acrylic formulation in a unique water-based coating with the additional benefit of mould, mildew and bacteria resistance. This environmentally friendly, low-odour coating is designed to suit both commercial and domestic surfaces including:

• Interior Walls
• High foot traffic areas
• Kitchens

?Ultimate Two-Pack Epoxy Satin N35?

A groundbreaking, water-based epoxy coating system that is low in odour, safe and easy to use. Although designed to be used primarily on concrete floors this multi-functional coating system will protect and enhance:
