A.N.T. (Azm | Nazm | Tabeer)

A.N.T. (Azm | Nazm | Tabeer)

For an every new idea, dream and accomplishment there are men at one end and dreams at the other end. There lies a disciplined path which is never told but supposed to come true.  A.N.T defines these three major elements from dreaming big to achieving big.

A.N.T is abbreviated for Urdu words AZM (unshakable determination), NAZM (disciplined practice) & TABEER (converting dream into reality).

Defining “Azm” (unshakable determination) can be said as one of the supreme gifts of Almighty Allah (God). Here Azm is based upon Ideology that one holds secret. The belief system by which one thinks deep inside his heart is something that is the prime cause of everything that happens. Like some people say that luck is the basic factor, some say that numbers have it all and other say that it is fate. We all have our ideologies to govern our actions. In any case, ideology holds the core of anything to become reality eventually.

Azm is always done in present. There is a common myth that it is formulated in past somewhere. We need to understand that Azm is the courage which anyone can get at any instance of time. While in past the belief systems were formulated those are known as fundamentals. Like fundamentals cannot be formulated in present; same as Azm cannot be carved in past as an artifact. Azm is an abstract action which is based upon an ideology and followed by action. Any promise which is not based upon a fundamental belief system (ideology) cannot be categorize as Azm.

Nelson Mandela’s struggle for equalization of his campaign to get nation as one by assembling unshakable determination & self belief in South African Rugby team are wonderful examples of Azm. Other modern day’s example can be dream of Dr. Mahathir Muhammad who changed the living of millions with rise of Malaysian markets from corrupted corner to economic giant.

There could be many plans written, thought out and discussed with colorful brilliant presentations across globe but the ratio of success amongst all of them are minimal. Only few get into practice and a few experience practical implementations. Even lesser number taste success. Why? It is just because of lack of AZM (unshakable determination) for all the failures.

Tony Bozan in his program “The Genius Formula” says that one of the foremost qualities of all great geniuses in history is persistence. Further he elaborates that persistence is unshakable determination in his own words. Pushing it forward when all odds are against, have no support and it looks all down the drain; winners push it based upon the belief in ideology which is determined through faith results in AZM (unshakable determination).

Looking at history, we realize that all great personalities, organizations and nations showed AZM (unshakable determination) for their goals to experience success.

Alexander the Great, Phidias, Leonardo da Vinci, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, John F. Kennedy, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, Dr. Mahatir Muhammad, Abdus Sattar Edhi and many others like them have shown AZM (unshakable determination) against all odds to help themselves and others to succeed. Therefore, we can comfortably say that Azm (unshakable determination) is the first step towards success.

As discussed earlier that no determination is can be categorize as Azm until it is based upon an ideology and followed by action.  Action is the biggest cause of anything to happen. At the same time it is the biggest hindrance in accomplishment of any dream. Many people only have dreams (which in their own words they call “Azm”) but they don’t have any plan for action. These dreams are first fantasies minds and then victimize them with lack of action.

Azm is followed by the most critical part and that is known as “Nazm” (the disciplined practiced). It acts as the bridge between Azm (unshakable determination) & Tabeer (the conversion of dream into reality).

Only promises, opportunities and talent hold no recommendation. There comes the discipline to follow. There are many formulas in this world which are genuine to be embraced with success and worth millions. It is again a fact that they started brilliantly but failed after sometime. “Why?” because they lack discipline.

Best example comes (from the sports) of cricket which is one of the best tests of human character. Success of a bowler or a batsman is dependent upon the discipline he follows. Once Imran Khan (Cricket Legend & Former Pakistani Captain) was asked that he has coached and guided Wasim Akram & Waqar Younus. Now, Muhammad Amir and Asif have got talent, do you think that they can rise above the two great Ws? Imran replied, that to him they possess equal or better skills than both of the great fast bowlers but the question lies that will they be able to portray same discipline like Wasim & Waqar? We all have seen what the legend meant by that. Better skills, more opportunities and exuberance of youth all went to drain because of lack of discipline. They both were sent to detainment because of fixing the game of gentlemen. Now, will they ever be able to become even half of Wasim & Waqar? Possibilities are very low.

Here is one wonderful phrase to follow; “Discipline is the key to success” (Jim Rohn)

If we start a business and follow no disciple in transactions, what will happen? If we start a diet plan and follow no discipline, what will happen? If we start a relationship and follow no discipline, what will happen? Everything which follows no discipline ends as failure or lose the path to success. So, for every measure that you take, follow a discipline.

Here comes a million dollar question, which discipline? The discipline as how successful people in life have implemented it. You can take notes, attend seminars and listen carefully when these amazing successful people talk about the philosophies they follow. Once you understand them, apply them every hour, every day, every week, every month, every year and year after year. Success will never be at distance.

It is for the same reason that Holy scriptures were sent to make people’s life disciplined.

When know that what we need to do while practicing Nazm, we have to understand that from what we have to remain at distance. To every Azm, Nazm will have variation although there will be certain elements which will remain similar in every Nazm like persistence, truth and a strong ideology.

It has been observed that to every mission, project or any uphill task many companions accompany you at first but as the road gets rough and the climb gets steep these companions are gone. At various occasions only a singular soul is fighting against the odds and that is normally a person who got the Azm in first place. Surprisingly, these people join you again when the Nazm is achieved and Tabeer (conversion of dreams into reality) is evident.

When Azm & Nazm are intact and practiced in a reasonable fashion Tabeer (conversion of dreams into reality) is born. This is magnificent as well as astonishing at times. Tabeer is the resultant which is first conceived and then achieved. It is normally termed as “success” or “defeat”. It comes through a process.

As well said by Jim Rohn “Success and Failure are not overnight events”. They are the outcomes of a series of either good decisions or series of miscalculations and bad decisions. It is true that Nazm help us to make good decisions and forbids us to walk on false paths.

It is a fact that there are certain dreams which come true without a process and they just happen. Fact is that they come as gift but one cannot sit and wait for some miracle to happen to embrace oneself. In addition to this, anything which comes without plan ends at a bad note.

Work is essential to bring about meaningful “Tabeer”. The quality of this stage of achievement is that it is well managed and measured to greater extent. It is well calibrated and the personality who achieves it is well balanced and knows about all the twists and turns by passing through Azm and Nazm.

For “Tabeer”,  faith on strong ideology is a must. It is to understand that ANT is seen at the third stage but starts way back in shape of Azm.

ANT is the structured way to achieve goals and getting on with the big dreams into big achievements. Successful men and women around the globe practice it unconsciously; we have put it down systematically for a common man to understand.
