Ever see Tropical species Zoo animals on display in their outdoor warm weather habitat? Then return in winter when the only living Zoo specimen Still remaining on display Is a several century year old wild Swamp White Oak Alongside several miscellaneous Hickory types. Fact is how 80% of captive species Such as animals mammals reptilian avian fish In zoos, as pets, Or farms receiving special care from humans results in longer than average lifespans than their wild counterparts. Yet we take Urban planted and grown trees for granted by assuming trees survive just fine without human intervention. I propose trees grown in captivity can benefit from fenced off outdoor space similar to zoo specimens. Rather than just considering space required for expanding crowns. Similar dimensions had by a rectangular in ground Olympic-sized swimming pool encompassing not just below ground root system but rhizosphere as well. And their great need to be included when regarding entire tree's overall size requirement. When needing to deduce perimeter encompassing a protective no intrusion zone.

Thanks for the invite but probably not that useful for us as we are a UK based business. However if you have a copy I would be very interested to be able to compare it to our BS3998 and to the European tree work standards that are now coming out. Kindest regards, rob.
