INTRODUCTION:?

One of the most ancient books is Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. Despite being composed about 5153 years ago its teachings are relevant even in this 21st century. Many intellectuals, business leaders, and spiritual leaders have termed this book as a book that is very relevant in the modern way of management, leading a way of life, building a good character, and even understanding science.?

There are approximately 6000 words in Gita. Most of these words are –?clusters of words (??????????). One such word is:????????????????????????????????.?Without breaking this into simple words it is not easy to decipher its meaning. This particular word is a combination of words??????, ???????, ?????-?????, ?????and ???????. The meaning of this cluster of words or (??????????) is as follows:

?????????????????????????????????= ????? + ??????? + ?????-????? + ???? + ??????? = ??????? ?? ??????? ?? ??? ??????? = overwhelmed with pity, his mind grief-stricken, and his eyes full of tears


There are about 6000 words like this in the 700 verses of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.??

Since it is difficult to understand, we refrain from reading this excellent book. Thus, we have attempted to compose a dictionary (???????) for Gita. The objective is to make Shrimad Bhagavad Gita understandable to its readers.

The book can be divided into three sections.?

The first six chapters describe Karm Yog or the path of duty.???

Chapter starting from seven and going up to the 12th glorifies the path of bhakti or loving devotion to God. They also describe the opulence of God as the divine nectar that nourishes devotion.?

The third set, starting from the thirteenth to the eighteenth chapter, expounds upon tattva Jnana, or the of knowledge scriptural terms and principles.?

The path of DUTY (KARMA YOGA): Chapters 1 to 6

The Path of BHAKTI (BHAKTI YOGA): Chapters 7 to 12

The Knowledge of PRINCIPLES (TATVA JNANA): Chapters 13 to 18
