Driving Innovative Solutions to Decarbonize and Future Proof Gas Turbine Power Generation
The 18th Annual Turbine Forum this year focused on emerging technology innovations in repair and life extension of turbine components for improved performance and life cycle costs. PSM, part of Ansaldo Energia's Multi-OEM Gas Turbine Fleet Services team, along with colleagues from Ansaldo Energia, Ansaldo Thomassen and Ansaldo Thomassen Gulf, provided four of the twenty-eight presentations at this conference, focusing on innovative service solutions, including gas turbine rotor lifetime assessments and extensions, currently being offered to our customers. Additive manufacturing is one of these areas where significant development resources are being focused on common standards, design processes and the "right" applications justified with sound business cases. What was clearly confirmed again was that PSM is a first mover for F-Class gas turbine flowpath component applications for the service market, with customer acceptance, insurance industry approval, coupled to sound engineering design practices. The result? Ansaldo Energia's Service team's creation of value for customers by offering step-change, pragmatic technology applications for continued performance upgrades and maintenance life cycle cost optimization.
