Another year

Good morning travel community,

I hope that the festive season was everything that you hoped it would be, or for any of you that find it a challenging time then you are glad that its behind you.

All around the world today people in our network and sphere of influence are waking up to start another year. Guides in Europe and Asia are having breakfast or lunch with their families and getting ready for a day with clients.

Staff are serving breakfast to guests who have extended their breaks in the accommodations we run or market, and farmers are harvesting crops for their dinner. Rangers and night watchman in Africa have kept wildlife and clients safe while others slept.

These people share many of the hopes and anxieties that we do for 2024, many of them with less advantages or opportunities than us.

We are bound together by our humanity; the need to earn an income to care for ourselves and those close to us and that we rely on tourism for this.

One of the things that distinguishes tourism, is that really we are in the beauty industry – our operations are based in some of the most beautiful and fragile places on our planet, and at our best we help keep them that way. ??

Today, potential clients around the world are or will be planning their holidays for 2024 and beyond.? For many, it will be the highlight of their year.?? Without them and their money, then nobody else benefits.

So, as we start another year its worth remembering all these people and places, and that what we do and how we act matters to them as well as us.
