Another year, how are you thinking about it now it’s crept onto the calendar?

Another year, how are you thinking about it now it’s crept onto the calendar?

How are you thinking about it now it’s crept onto the calendar?

(Make sure you add a gloomy voice tone to the following questions to get the

full impact)

Same again.

Hope it’ll be better than the last one.

Mind you, that’s a low bar…

Or…

(Change your voice tone – make it brighter) New year! Who knows what it’ll

bring? How can I enjoy it more?

(Now please read the rest of this email to yourself with an upbeat voice tone,

you’ll enjoy it more.)

Two different takes on something that hasn’t happened yet. And they each set

an emotional tone to your thinking.

We tend to divide our reactions between reason and emotion, hot or cold,

impulse or reflection, but they always go together and influence each other.

Our emotional tone affects our ability to reason.

How you think of the new year emotionally is going to filter your thinking

about it, like a pair of coloured glasses changes the landscape.

It can look bright or dark, but that's not the landscape, it's the glasses.

If you’re going to think clearly, you need a good pair of emotional glasses so

you can see what you’re looking at clearly.

We can hardly be emotionally intelligent if we don’t understand how emotions

work.

So, I’m kicking off the new year with a free webinar about understanding our

emotions and how to use them, to make better decisions and be more intuitive
