Forget the Rules: Mindvalley ’s CEO is ‘tearing down’ his head office, reports Raconteur | B Corp? . Vishen Lakhiani invested in an award-winning space named one of Inc. Magazine ’s “most beautiful” offices in 2019. “I thought the office was a true gift to my employees. I was wrong. After the pandemic, 70% of my employees said they did not want to return to the office,” said Lakhiani. “Forget all the rules. Are your people going to be better working from home? Let them. Salesforce has joined Snap Inc. , Twitter and Comcast in reverting to telling employees to return to the office. Workers may find themselves on the receiving end of stricter enforcement of in-person work, experts told Bisnow, as employers seek to crack down on remote work in the hopes of boosting productivity and profit. “I think a lot of it depends on earnings and how companies are doing, especially with a looming recession," said Julie Whelan , 世邦魏理仕 's head of occupier research. Work Perks: What, no beer?! Employees want better tech, not snacks, reports Bisnow . In an effort to entice employees back into the office, companies have ramped up digestible perks like beverages and food, but a recent essensys survey indicated that employees don’t care about frivolous amenities — they want better technology and flexible workstations. 81% expressed frustration with their office situation, with 56% wanting better technology to enhance their ability to work and 63% valuing flexible workspaces.
