Another successful audit & medical device project breakthrough for HD.

Last week was another extremely hard and busy week - but we had a great end to it! We flew through an ISO 9001 & 13485 surveillance audit, thanks to the hard work of John Harverson and our new QA Manager Phil Sampey. John’s hit on a game changing solution to one of our technical challenges too, so it was a good week all round for HD. 

We’ve all felt under pressure whilst we’ve gone through the challenges of working from home and preparing for an audit. It’s been particularly hard on Phil, who’s really stepped up, at short notice, to accept the responsibility that comes with the role and to get to grips with it from home. It’s been a real team effort so thank you to everyone involved.

To then find John has also nailed a real breakthrough with one of our medical device projects, is a great relief. I can’t wait to hear our customer’s response when they learn of what’s been discovered. I am sure there’s a few patents in the result - they will gain a huge advantage over their competitors – and be able to protect it too!

We are extremely lucky that the whole team is pulling together and we now have the freedom of working in the office, if we need to for specific tasks. Working from home has been a lifesaver for HD but it’s nice to have the option of ‘going in’ - albeit to the current SD and safe working rules.
