Another step towards Xero’s code-free accounting vision

Another step towards Xero’s code-free accounting vision

Since our very beginnings back in 2006, Xero has been focused on helping small businesses grow by making it easy for them to seamlessly access all of their data and to collaborate with their accountant or bookkeeper.

Today, I’m excited to announce we’re taking the next big step forward by acquiring Hubdoc, a leading accounting and bookkeeping data capture and document management solution for small business.

Acquiring Hubdoc will accelerate Xero’s ability to deliver on our vision for code-free accounting.  It’s all about helping small businesses, accountants and bookkeepers spend less time on manual work and more time making the right business and financial choices.

Hubdoc automatically fetches financial documents from more than 700 utilities, telecom providers, and online vendors, and extracts the key financial data. Thanks to an existing integration, Xero can then automatically match  this data with bank feed transactions so that accountants and their clients have an always up-to-date set of books. And all the data is “verified” with the source document, and easily searchable on any device -- it’s essentially a cloud based automated filing cabinet.

The Hubdoc team will remain as a stand-alone business as we work to identify the best way to integrate our product roadmaps in the future.

Welcome Hubdoc to the Xero family!

Together we will continue to find innovative solutions for small businesses, accountants and bookkeepers - helping them to grow and supporting our mission to rewire the global small business economy.

One of the best packages we’ve used, glad to see Xero going from strength to strength. Has a lot of potential in SEAsia which is largely behind with cloud solutions and ecommerce integrations. Hope you’re well Steve!

Hi Steve it's great going for codeless and cloud. But need support from your team to set up for small business more since some time they are new to the technology. If the support is minimal then it's hard to continue with the process. I faced a difficulty in today 10/9/19 when setting up the the account and I'm sitting in front of my computer screen for more than 2 hours with out doing nothing, since I'm unable to login following the employer invitation. They are is no contact number to contact for an immegency and no response from your support team for the last 2 hours. If this is the way your company treating for the customers how are we rely on your software.
