Another Resounding Success. The 5th Global Vertical Farming Show 2024 Dubai stood tall and strong in Dubai again!

On the 10th and 11th of September 2024 at the prestigious Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, UAE - the Middle East’s Largest & Only Exclusive Vertical Farming Event - GVF 2024 again made history.

It was a tremendous success where 5000+ vertical farming stakeholders came together and witnessed business talks, networking opportunities, brand elevation, innovations and much more through a two-day expo + conference.?

The show was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) and was backed by various other industry-specific government bodies including the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), Food Tech Valley, Emirates Development Bank (EDB), World Green Economy Organization (WGEO), Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park), Abu Dhabi Food Hub, Sharjah Sustainable City, Environment Agency Abu Dhabi, Oman Food Investment Holding (Nitaj), International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), Ind Food & Beverage Association (IFBA), ne’ma, and others.

This strong support from government bodies highlights the significance of vertical farming and controlled environment agriculture (CEA) in addressing the Middle East's food security challenges and advancing sustainable agriculture practices. Truly, the Middle East - especially the UAE is a hub of technology transformation under which we are seeing new vertical farms coming in every year.

At 9 AM on 10th September 2024, the highly anticipated show started with an impactful inaugural session featuring prominent thought leaders. Tahir Abdul Bari, MD & CEO of TAB group (the Organizer),? welcomed all the attendees, valued partners, and thought leaders at the show.?

His Excellency Marwan Abdulla Alzaabi, Assistant Undersecretary of Regions Sector, Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, delivered the keynote speech that underscored the importance of vertical farming in bolstering regional food security.

Innovation remained a central theme throughout GVF 2024 Dubai. We saw some insightful talks on Innovative Solutions & Automation in Vertical Farming, the critical role of automation and robotics in enhancing productivity and sustainability in the vertical farming sector and how food security and safety can be achieved by automation.?
