Good evening.
I just wanted to touch base with you to let you know what's fantastic help Lyndon Evans from DampDetectives has been.
To start off I had a 'specialist damp company' come to my newly purchased property, they had a look around and quoted thousands and thousands of pounds to fix. Being the sort of person I am, I like to get second opinions on things. This is where I came across the website DampDetectives and found, and contacted Lyndon Evans. Lyndon explained he would come to the property and find solutions to my problems, rather than finding one slightly damp wall and asking for the whole house to have an injected DPC. Sceptical as ever, I proceeded to instruct Lyndon to conduct an independent report on my property. He spent hours at the house (approx 6.5) going through it with a fine tooth comb, responding to every question I had in deep detail. provided me with a detailed simple to follow step by step guide to fix any issues.
To shorten the story a little. Most of the works prescribed by Lyndon, were simple enough to either carry out myself or have a fairly (in comparison) inexpensive labourer carry out. And in the long run, I've saved about ￡8,000
I've also been bothering Lyndon on the phone for the last week, checking I've not missed anything, and even getting Lyndon to speak to the chap I have employed to sort roof works.
He has been absolutely fantastic, ever so patient with me and my lack of building knowledge, even to the point where he has to repeat himself to my labourer over the phone to explain everything for a second time.
I just wanted to write an email to someone who would acknowledge this.
Thank you so much for your work, it's lovely to know that there are still honest independent people that you can rely on, I will surely be recommending your services to anyone I can.
Ps. I cannot reiterate enough how patient Lyndon has been I've called him probably 10 times since he came to my house a week ago. Absolutely brilliant.
