Another perspective to …….. “Bonding”
All organizations are driven by Human Resources & that is the place where the Human values are found to have least priority. In today’s scenario all organizations are striving for optimization, excellence & productivity. Every organization small or Big is looking at achieving it in no time. How these can be achieved? Answer does not lie in the management books…….even Philip Kotler failed to understand what if he did not write the excellent book on Management.
Yes, this is Perception.
If moon is revolving around the earth then why should we bother? And that is the perspective most of the managements carry about the resources. Why not management can think that the organization is Solar system and all the resources are STARS. Sense of belongingness will come on its own.
Yes, that is called Culture.
What exposure the organization brings to the creative minds in the organization? I have some idea ……like Snowden revealed the idea of US government. What world perceived about the project is compromising the personal security of any individual in any corner of world. But may be US is having perspective of killing any bad idea of theft, security, terrorism, etc before it is organized.
This leads to Perspective.
Consider an activity for a Branding initiative. First cum first……we run for budget, target customers, Teams for execution, Theme & platform is set. All the efforts are to bring synergy. We discuss, interact, plan & guidelines are issued. At ground zero implementation is having certain grey points. Activity ends & results in failure. Root cause analysis says teams were non-cohesive. But why? Did we analyse Culture, Perceptions, perspectives
Answer lies in Bonding.
Structured level of bonding follows hierarchy. Bonding can primarily be visualized from Vertical & Horizontal levels in any organization. Successful organizations have matrix structures and skill pools where the bonding exists beyond vertical & horizontal limits. That is why these organizations are leading from the front.
This Bonding Leads to Individual & Organisational Success, together.

9 年This is all because sense of belonging and Owner ship towards the company is missing...Companies don't want their Employees to work with that feeling and Employees don't give a damn to success or failure of the Project...end result a big fat "0"..

9 年Nice post. Bonding increases when people are equally good or equally bad at something. When we work as a Group, we tend to fail. When we work as a Team, we improve productivity. And, in a team, bonding can supersede hierarchical boundaries too.
