Another Milestone. Yes, We're Shipping Gululu Globally.

Yesterday, on the last day of September, we started to ship Gululu to our 1st batch of backers, as originally promised on our KickStarter campaign. Since the KickStarter launch, our journey has been fast-paced and even a little nerve-racking at times. Keeping our promises and managing shipping logistics has been a bigger challenge for us even compared to our launch and publicity efforts. I truly value the enthusiasm and support from our backers as innovative users during these times.

As you may already know, we were actually close to being mass production ready back in March. That is partly because we took large personal risks and invested a lot of our personal funds prior to KickStarter. We wanted to make sure that we could deliver on our promises. Pursuing the crowd-funding route gave us the confidence and market validation from innovative and supporting members like you. We were also able to gather feedbacks from many of our pilot users and to fine-tune our game design so that you may experience the best. Now that shipping has begun, I feel more comfortable sharing this leap of faith along with these backers.

As a token of my deepest appreciation, I wrote a little personal note that I put it in the product package. I'm sharing this with you all,

Dear Gululu Backers,

I am beyond proud and grateful to announce to you that we have started to ship Gululu, right on schedule! We are beginning with the signature Bowhead Blue color, and will follow with other colors shortly. Each Gululu shipment is a complete package of family fun--a Gululu bottle, wireless charger, USB cable, and Gululu Story Booklet. To start using your Gululu, please download the Gululu app, sync your Gululu bottle, and choose a virtual pet. Or, you can choose to start using the basic features of Gululu right away, and sync to the app later for full functionality. 

It’s not easy to bring something innovative to life. Throughout this process, our team members expressed repeatedly that they felt like bringing an IoT product to life is like running 2 or 3 startups at the same time. It’s true that a great deal of effort was made to integrate smart hardware, advanced sensors, patented interactive design, a reward-based game, whimsical animated creatures, a companion app, and an automatic software update system. Our small team has worked tirelessly to provide a seamless product and experience, but we are not done innovating Gululu. Your feedback about your Gululu experience will be invaluable to us as we continue to bring wellness and delight to families across the globe. Your trust in our ability to reach this goal means the world to us.
