Another Fenix - Free to use Photographs, Blog by A. Moran

Another Fenix is an outgoing photography blog, where I delve into a collection of images captured across various devices over the years. With over 600 carefully curated photographs featured here, I've sifted through a selection of more than 2,500 images to present moments that resonate with me. My decision to exclude many images featuring people stems from respecting individuals' privacy.?

Prior to 2017, I captured numerous photographs, but due to my lack of familiarity with SD cards and cloud storage, many of them were lost. Thankfully, some were automatically backed up to the cloud, allowing me to retrieve a handful of these images. Among them, I've chosen several to feature on Another Fenix, all (unless specified) photographs are under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.

The Story Behind 'Another Fenix' names

The name 'Another Fenix' is a unique blend of English and Spanish words that embodies the essence of this project. 'Another' signifies the opportunity to breathe new life into photographs taken over the years, giving them a second chance to inspire and contribute to the creative community. This project aims to provide artists, creators, and hobbyists with a diverse collection of images that can be used as a starting point for their own artistic journeys.

By allowing people to use these photographs in their creative works, Another Fenix encourages artists to experiment with various tools and techniques. Whether you're passionate about digital art methods like editing, color manipulation, and adding effects or you prefer traditional art techniques like painting, drawing on paper, or utilizing different materials, this project invites you to explore your creativity and push the boundaries of your artistic expression.

The Spanish word 'Fenix' (Phoenix) symbolizes the immortal and transcending nature of art, passing down from one generation to another, regardless of language barriers. The Phoenix, according to mythology, is a bird that is reborn from its own ashes, representing the continuous cycle of creation, destruction, and rebirth. Similarly, art has the power to inspire, heal, and connect people across cultures and time.

Through the Another Fenix project, I aspire to ignite the spark of creativity in artists worldwide, encouraging them to explore their passions, hone their skills, and ultimately, share their unique artistic vision with the world. Just like the Phoenix, art can rise from the ashes and inspire new beginnings, transcending the limits of time and space.
