Another Excerpt/Music From My Juke-Box Musical Play, Perdition Rhapsody

Yes, my play, Perdition Rhapsody has a lot of sad scenes, but even in a life of perdition, there is also time for relationships, too. Those who have written/recite poems at certain venues know that there is always some rich girl (s) who ‘caters’ -- wink, wink -- to the artists. This scene from Perdition Rhapsody is taken from Darius’ ‘hooking up’ with one of the main characters -- Jayden Calhoun -- in the play.

Jayden has invited Darius to her home, after she heard him recite the poem below at The Muse:

The Atheist

The Agnostic

And the like

Will never know

The ‘nectared’ taste of going through the 'withdrawals' of Sinning….

Darius is admiring Jayden’s big/enormous shower (like those opened showers in the Army), his mind teeming with an idea. Darius turns on the shower, tests the temperature and adjusts the flow and leaving it running.

Darius: Goes towards Jayden’s bedroom, she's in the doorway, he pauses, and looks at her, smiling, and says, “White panties, huh,”

Jayden smiling and flirting says, “I’m burning up in here.” I want you to go ‘postal’ on my Va-jay-jay…!

Darius smiles... then goes to the dining room and takes one of the chairs and places it in the middle of the running shower….

Jayden: What are you doing? You not one of those weirdos… are you?

Darius: Patience, baby… just creating the right ambience. Darius moves the chair directly in the middle of the shower, where now the lukewarm, sprinkling water is cascading off the chair. He slips out of his clothes, tossed them outside the shower, saved for his boxers, sits down on the chair and as the shower water now cascades off him, he beckons Jayden. "You can come now." Jayden eager and curious, walking in a cat-like saunter, admiring the newly created ambience. She enters the shower as the lukewarm water hits her as she stands over Darius. Jayden's white panties are now wet and clinging to her like pizza grease to a paper bag, her long legs -- stairways to heaven -- are glistening like when the Sun hits Spring-time-morning-dew. She bends over and kisses Darius softly, and then progressed more hungrily. Darius responds in kind, groping the small of her back, legs, and finally Jayden’s butt. This -- mmn, ahh, ambience- is- very-wet-and and-unique.?You-have-any-idea-how-expensive-this-chair is -- I have a perfectly good bed (Jayden says in between kisses and a labored voice (s)) … While still kissing Darius, Jayden straddles him....

Darius: You started the fire, and I’m certain you have insurance, Mizz Calhoun. Incidentally, don’t worry, we’re going to burn up the bed, too… and I am going to go ‘postal’ on your Va-jay-jay in your bedroom too….

Later, the camera pans into Jayden's bedroom; her wet panties are on her bedroom floor, along with Darius’ wet boxers. In the wee hours of the morn, Jayden awakes, and she slips out of the covers where Darius is now sound asleep. Jayden goes over to her closet, takes out her robe and slipped into it. Jayden then looks lovingly at Darius and goes to the living room. She opens the window and looks outside at a lighted Brooklyn night/early morn, smiles, and starts singing, Heather Nova’s Avalanche. During the song, Jayden walks and admires the shower again where she and Darius started their lovemaking.?Jayden giggles as she sees her expensive chair still soaking wet in the middle of her shower. The scene ends.?

Avalanche By Heather Nova:

I lie in a field

In the trailer-park of my dreams

Saving up for someday,

But what does someday mean?

And I'm young but I let it slipped on by

I'm co-dependent and I'm lost inside

And you, you look like freedom

You look like the avalanche I need

The avalanche I need

And there's a road, leads away from here

And every day I stand in place and watch it disappear

And there's a bird, circles in my mind

Security's the whore in me that never lets me fly

And you, you look like freedom

And you, you look like change

You look like the avalanche I need

The avalanche I need

With your sunburned soul

And your hunger for the road

I'm snow-blind and I'm crying after

Yeah, like nothing matters

When you go down take me

When you go down, yeah, make me

Go down

I got a hunger you could feed

You're the avalanche I need

The avalanche I need

And I know it's a fine line divides

The place I'm looking for and what's inside

And I know it's a long, long way

Through the outskirts of everyday

And you, you took like freedom,

And you, you look like change

You look like the avalanche I need

The avalanche I need

Avalanche

Coming over me

Avalanche

It's coming over me

Avalanche, avalanche

Avalanche, avalanche

Avalanche, avalanche

Avalanche, avalanche.
