Our Latest Claim
Recently, the Abril Restorations team attended to an insurance claim for a high-end college basketball court. This court was affected by water damage and required immediate treatment to reduce its risk of escalating.?
The Process
Our experts began the procedure by conducting a Dry Standard Reading of the court’s surface which allows us to identify the moisture level of its material prior to the intrusion of water. It was recorded at 10 M%, and it was our mission to bring the affected area back to this control level. This called for a modern and specialised drying program to be deployed, using the DBK Drymatic II system. This technological device can be utilised to efficiently extract moisture from the material using controlled heat and air exchange.
Recirculation Mode
领英推荐
During the recirculation stage, the damaged area is continuously heated up until either its temperature or humidity limit is reached. Here, the Drymatic II takes air in from the Room Intake, moves it through the machine to measure its temperature and relative humidity (RH), and then reheats the air to raise ambient temperature. It remains in this mode for up to two hours, or until pre-set conditions are met.?
Exhaust Mode
This process includes the exchange of warm, humid air with warm, dry replenishment air. The Drymatic II cycles between these two modes to maximise the amount of water that can be removed from the affected area. The device intakes air from the Room Intake and purges it straight through the machine to an outdoor area via the Outside Exhaust. Simultaneously, the machine takes in replenishment air from an unaffected area (an outdoor space or another room) and heats that air before pushing it into the Drying Chamber.?
By applying these methods, the installation of the Dramatic Boost Units and Drymatic Mats enable us to heat the cold, wet material by raising the surface temperature and heating the air. The moisture will evaporate at a rapid pace and by exhausting the wet air using the DBK machines, the drying chamber is left in a warm and dry state - therefore, all wet air has been successfully removed.
With the right team to handle the restoration, you can expect a quick and efficient job. It's important to act quickly when it comes to water damage, or else you may risk further destruction of your property. Our team can confirm that this method successfully saved the timber floor coverings and at most, will only require sand and polish during the school holidays for that extra touch-up.?
Our customer was highly satisfied with the result of our work, and can now continue to provide a safe space for their students and staff to accomplish their sporting activities ??
