Another day, another report!
I just wondered what everyone thinks of the latest report on the Apprenticeship reforms from the Resolution Foundation.
I downloaded a copy last night and to me, it appeared to make a lot of sense and I can certainly recognise the trends in what I have seen across Norfolk and Suffolk in the last couple of years. Here at TrAC we have made it our mission to support more 16 to 24 year olds into Apprenticeships, particularly if they are vulnerable. We want to get Apprenticeships working again for all young people who aspire to complete an Apprenticeship.
As an SME and not for profit Registered Apprenticeship Training Agency employing nearly 50 apprentices, we can see and feel the implications of this shrinking system since our core business is 16 to 24 year olds on level 2 and 3 Apprenticeships.. We sometimes feel the system is conspiring against us, but we are not standing still and we are always developing new and innovative ways to continue to deliver.
One such idea will be released next month. Our new IT platform will help and support large and small employers to work together better to deliver what's required. More details will be released next week as we get nearer to our launch date, but we are all very excited.
