So why am I writing this? and why, NOW?

The reasons are simple:

In the time between Jan / Feb 2020 to Jan / Feb 2021, Covid -19 happened and put all our well planned balanced life into haywire. Everyone of us has felt this big downtime and many of us are still recovering. So that’s reason number one. Reason two being - The existing avenues of revenues were fast drying up and new ones were not opening up fast enough ? And last but not the least - There were too many things to take care of and really Revenue just took a back seat for the time being. Such being the paradoxes of life.

 Although the earlier 5 Avenues of Revenue, still stands good but the good news is that new ones have also opened up! Yes you have heard it right! New Ones!

 So lets examine what the older Avenues of Revenue were. They were:

1. Getting MORE from your savings account (transfer money from 3% to 4% interest paying salary account to 6% -7% paying bank accounts)

2. Earning from your Hobby Ideas via YouTube posts

3. Investing in Equity Markets, if you had done it, by now you are sitting on some serious cash, since the Bull market is probably here to stay for now.

4. Renting out your property and

5. Getting a part-time job.

The next 5 are as follows:

6. Start your own website portal or Blog.

Well that is easy! Every one has some talent and some skills to showcase. As a starting point just put up the main points from your resume details and link it to your creative work and voila you have your one-page portal ready. Host it on any free hosting sites such as Google Sites or BlueHost. They are so easy to set up that even a 75+ year person can do that in less than an hour and have it up and running. You then just have to promote it via your social media handles and keep it updated periodically. That’s all! This is THE WAY TO EARN A PASSIVE INCOME ! The plus point is that, if you are a working professional, this site can become your future business someday, also future employers can pick you up since this could be a showcase of your talents.

7. Affiliate Marketing – Monetize your social media handles and website via Affiliation

Why should actors and celebrities make all the money! Why can’t you? Right? Start promoting stuff such as Insurance policies, Cars, Makeup, Events, whatever, via your social media handles and websites. All you need to do, is connect the dots and you earn massive revenue for taking in new orders for the products you are promoting. Just make sure that your affiliate organizations know what you are doing first ??

8. Freelance, Freelance, Freelance!

Many companies now-a-days allow their employees to work as Freelancers as long as there is no “Conflict of Interest”. Check your employment policy and if it allows you to Freelance outside of your office work then why not think of doing all the great things you wanted to achieve via a Freelancing assignment. A word of caution here - Take up freelancing only if your present employer allows it. Be totally transparent and inform both parties about your engagement, commitment and interests. As long as there is “No conflict of interest” from both parties, you can definitely work it out. The other option is to take up several Freelancing tasks, chances are you earn more through these freelancing assignments than through a one fulltime regular job.

9. Enter competitions

In case you are a programming geek and a full time scripter, then enter your name into competitions and start earning through your skills. Programming is just one of them. There are many such competitions where you can enter with a small entry fee and earn big. Initially you won’t be earning anything because mostly you will be losing to the best folks, but later on when you understand how it works, you start earning money. Competitions need not be just programming ones such as via Kaggle or Techgig, Marathons, Singing competitions, Dance competitions, even competitions conducted during some festivals are good enough to earn some very serious money.

10. Reviewing businesses, conducting audits or become a mystery shopper

This is not that easy to come by, but once you have a name in the market for being a good impartial reviewer, you would have made it big. You can start by writing the review for business establishment or become a mystery buyer. There are many agencies out there which pay you to shop and interact with the staff and give your candid feedback, and the best part is many of them allow you to actually keep the stuff bought ??

Ok so the monthly salary is not your ONLY source of income folks. Forget that mindset.
