Western Chances is a not for profit organisation based in the West of Melbourne; Cooke Creative is proud to have developed their annual report for the last 10 years. The report is used to promote the work of the N.F.P. beyond their financial figures, and is emailed to both current and potential sponsors and supporters.
Design and Development
A corporate typeface and colour palette are used throughout the report to reinforce the Western Chances branding. The front cover?uses a muted?image of a sunrise: a new beginning, a fresh start; symbolising the ideas behind Western Chances. The scholarship recipients’ photographs and stories are?prominently featured, whilst large typography and use of white space break-up the content, providing ease of navigation and legibility throughout the report.
Typography
DIN is the typeface used throughout all Western Chances collateral. It’s modern and highly legible, with many weights that can create interest in all media. We used a medium weight throughout the report, with colour and size to create interest. As DIN is slightly condensed, the font works beautifully for body copy and financials, where line length and space is?important.
Photography
Art directed by Cooke Creative and photographed by?Igor Sapina, the photography showcases the scholarship recipients’, as well as?their experiences and achievements with the support of Western Chances.
