The Annual Meeting of NAE was held at the National Academy of Sciences building in Washington, DC, on October 8-9, 2017. This was Dr. Peppas' last meeting on the Board of the Bioengineering Section. This year friends inducted included Paula Hammond of MIT, Jennifer Lewis of Harvard, David Allen of UT, KAzunori Kataoka of Tolyo and Costas Vayenas of the University of Patras. Unfortunately, Yannis Yannas of MIT could not attend.
