?? Announcing Timeplus Enterprise v2.5: Now Generally Available!
We are proud to announce that Timeplus Enterprise v2.5 is now generally available!
This milestone marks a significant leap forward for our Timeplus Enterprise v2 which we released earlier this year. Read on to learn about the many features and improvements in this new version:?
?? Connect to various input or output systems via Redpanda Connect
?? Read/write data from/to Apache Pulsar (StreamNative) via External Stream
?? Add and manage users in the Timeplus Web Console
?? New migrate subcommand in Timeplus CLI?
?? Materialized views auto load balancing (cluster mode)
? ~30% faster data ingestion and replication (cluster mode)
?? Performance improvement for ASOF JOIN and EMIT ON UPDATE?
We are thrilled to announce our stronger and renewed partnership between Timeplus and Redpanda, bringing expanded connectivity options to enterprise real-time streaming analytics.
Timeplus Enterprise will now embed Redpanda Connect with over 200+ connectors, and we will also contribute back Timeplus connectors to the open source ecosystem for Redpanda Connect standalone users.
With the new Pulsar External Stream in Timeplus Enterprise, you can read millions of events from Apache Pulsar each second with streaming SQL, or write data to Pulsar topics in JSON, CSV, Protobuf, or Avro format.
The benefit of an external stream for Pulsar is that it does not copy the full stream to Timeplus and only brings in relevant data as needed by transformations and aggregations, reducing latency storage costs.
Since Timeplus Enterprise v2.3, you can configure a materialized view with the optional memory_weight setting, allowing for memory-intensive materialized views to be prioritized on specific nodes within a cluster.
Now, we have introduced auto-load-balancing for materialized views, enabled by default, to reduce maintenance efforts and enhance overall system efficiency.
?? Performance Enhancements
For Ingest REST API, Timeplus Enterprise v2.5 is up to 2x faster than the previous version.

For EMIT ON UPDATE?query processing, v2.5 can attain a 0.1ms end-to-end latency, even with 100 million unique keys. Previously versions saw 0.9s for 100 million keys.
