Announcing Rosalyn's new features: giving faculty more power over the student's exam experience.

We are excited to announce some major updates to Rosalyn that will change the way universities conduct online exams. We have identified a need for more control over settings for any given exam based on customer feedback, and we are happy to announce that our new Exam Rules, Web Resources and Calculator features have satisfied that need.

With our exam rules feature, exam authors can choose which exam rules apply to their students, thus truly customizing their experience. Universities can tailor the exam rules to meet the specific needs of the exam instead of being limited by one-size-fits-all rules.

Whether it’s an open-book exam, a low-stakes exam, or a high-stakes exam, universities will have the flexibility to ensure that all examinees are treated fairly and accurately. Having a variety of exams, with varied levels of difficulty and different requirements, is particularly important for universities. For example, low-stakes exams may not require the same level of proctoring as high-stakes exams.

With this feature, universities will be able to apply the appropriate level of proctoring for each exam, leading to a more accurate assessment of student knowledge and skills.

We are also providing the opportunity to enable specific web resources to be enabled within the Rosalyn exam interface. Universities will then be able to allow examinees to access specific websites, such as online textbooks or research materials, during the exam.

This will not only ensure that examinees have access to the resources they need to succeed but also level the playing field for students with limited resources at home. It is particularly important for students whose home resources are limited. Universities can ensure that all students are able to access the same resources by providing access to specific websites, which will level the playing field for all students.

A calculator will also be available in the Rosalyn exam interface, catering to STEM tests.
