This Thanksgiving season, as we reflect on community, opportunity, and growth, we are thrilled to announce the launch of the Musa Heritage Foundation. Our mission is simple yet profound: to educate and empower underestimated founders, with a special focus on Black entrepreneurs, by breaking down systemic barriers and creating pathways to success. Through a range of innovative flagship programs and community initiatives, we aim to drive lasting impact and redefine possibilities. ????

Empowering Founders Through Flagship Programs ????

The Musa Heritage Foundation is built on a foundation of programs designed to inspire, educate, and equip founders for success. Each initiative is carefully crafted to address specific challenges faced by Black entrepreneurs and create opportunities for transformational growth.

Summer of Code Externship Program: A 12-week, hands-on AI Hack House and virtual externship that equips college students with practical skills in open-source development, Agile methodologies, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Students gain access to mentorship, real-world experience, and a network of venture capitalists and industry leaders. ????????????

?? Musa Hacker Houses: Immersive, in-person experiences where young innovators come together to solve real-world problems, foster collaboration, and build groundbreaking solutions. ????

?? The Open Cap Stack Project: Developing open-source cap table solutions to democratize venture capital access and empower founders to understand and leverage equity for long-term success. ?????

?? Scout Front Program: A talent accelerator that connects Black innovators with resources and mentorship to navigate the startup ecosystem and secure critical early-stage support. ????

?? Community Service Initiatives: Focused on financial literacy, tech education, and entrepreneurship, these programs aim to foster economic equity and empower historically underserved communities. ????

This year, the Summer of Code 2024 program brought together bright, passionate students from across the country, offering them mentorship and the chance to collaborate on open-source solutions with direct support from leading VC firms.
