Announcing BC Non-Profit Housing Association (BCNPHA) Overdose Prevention Technology Funding Program for B.C.
Brave Technology Co-Op
We make tools that detect overdoses and activate life-saving community response, wherever and whenever people use drugs.
Enhancing Overdose Detection and Response while Reducing Staff Burden
Brave Technology Co-op, a leader in overdose detection technology, proudly announces that the BC Non-Profit Housing Association (BCNPHA) Overdose Prevention Technology Funding Program has chosen us as a key technology provider. Project Highlights:
Innovative Technology Solutions Work
Brave Technology Co-op's Buttons and Sensors are designed to detect and send nearby responses to emergency incidents promptly. These solutions have already proven their efficacy by reversing over 230 overdoses. With 1,000 buttons and 130 sensors currently deployed, Brave can highlight the critical impact of timely technological intervention.
Empowering Supportive Housing Providers
Through the BCNPHA funding program, Brave Technology Co-op is set to equip housing providers with lightweight, easy-to-install, low-fi technologies. This initiative will enhance their ability to protect tenants at high risk of overdose, ensuring that support is available at the crucial moment it is needed.
Reducing Staff Burden
One significant aspect of our technology is the capacity to alleviate operational pressures faced by frontline staff. By automating the detection of overdose incidents and streamlining the response process, our devices enable staff to focus on direct tenant support and less on constant surveillance. This improves the efficiency of response and contributes to a more supportive and less stressful working environment for staff.
Sustainability and Support
The BCNPHA funding program covers the cost of purchasing and three years of device maintenance and ensures that housing providers can rely on the continuous operation of life-saving technologies without financial strain. This long-term support highlights the sustainability of the initiative and the commitment to ongoing overdose prevention efforts.
Empowering Housing Operators with Cost-Effective Solutions
Understanding the financial constraints of housing operators, Brave Technology Co-op provides a pricing strategy to maximize their grant funding. This approach ensures that more housing operators can affordably and equitably equip their communities with life-saving technology within budget constraints.
Collaborative Effort?
While Brave Technology Co-op offers different innovations than Lifeguard Digital Health as a co-vendor in this project, our shared goal is to maximize the reach and effectiveness of overdose detection and response technologies across British Columbia. This collaborative approach enhances the program's impact, offering supportive housing providers a choice of technology solutions that best fit their needs.
Moving Forward
As Brave Technology Co-op continues to provide service for the BCNPHA Overdose Prevention Technology Funding Program, we remain focused on creating safer communities and reducing the burden facing those who work and live in them.
