URGENT STATEMENT

RE:????? THOSAFO TRADING AND PROJECTS CC T/A THOSAFO INTELLIGENT SOLUTIONS // JENNIFER MALEKGERE MADISHA // SHADRECK MARANGWANDA

1.???? We refer to the above. It recently came to the attention of OpenSource Intelligent Solutions (Pty) Ltd (“OpenSource”) that an entity by the name of Thosafo Trading and Projects CC T/A Thosafo Intelligent Solutions (“Thosafo”) with registration number: 2008/043290/23, fraudulently misrepresented through various platforms that it has a business relationship and service history with OpenSource, OpenSource’s clients and affiliated partners.

It was further discovered through extensive investigations that an erstwhile employee of OpenSource, Mr. Shadreck Marangwanda and an individual by the name of Ms. Jennifer Malekgere Madisha are behind the fraudulent business named Thosafo Intelligent Solutions, which seeks to fraudulently convey the false narrative that Thosafo is in any way associated with OpenSource.

3.???? Please take note that Mr. Shadreck Marangwanda was summarily terminated from his employ with OpenSource on 10 October 2024. Mr. Marangwanda is no longer affiliated with OpenSource, nor does he represent OpenSource’s interests in any capacity whatsoever.

4.???? We urge you to please refrain from engaging with the aforementioned individuals as they do not represent OpenSource, nor are they affiliated with OpenSource in any capacity whatsoever.

5.???? OpenSource has also taken a proactive approach in opening a criminal case with the South African Police Services against Thosafo and its affiliates. We are hopeful of a successful prosecution to that effect.

6.???? On 15 October 2024, OpenSource successfully obtained an interdict against Thosafo, Mr. Marangwanda and Ms. Madisha which prevents them from, inter alia, passing off the reputation of OpenSource as being that of Thosafo, fraudulently making claims that Thosafo is associated with OpenSource and its clients and from reproducing or making adaptations to OpenSource’s confidential and copyrighted information.

7.???? We urge you to exercise caution and refrain from engaging with any communications and transactions from this fraudulent entity and its affiliates.
