[Announcement] I'm changing the way I do business and becoming more me.

[Announcement] I'm changing the way I do business and becoming more me.

Have you ever realised just how much of your life runs on autopilot? This week I've connected with clients new and old talking about career clarity and a few similar concepts have come up over and over.

The need for clarity, to know why we're doing what we're doing. The need to switch off autopilot and stop reacting to everyone else's bullshit. Our inability to be fully ourselves at work and how pretending to be something we're not leaves us feeling lost and alone.

Of course this happened, because there are always parallels with my clients.

When I first started Searching for Serenity I was taught the premium pricing model, to work short hours for high reward in the hope of scaling a business quickly.

It's fair to say I've rejected this at almost every turn.

I didn't start mentoring and training professional women as some kind of get rich quick scheme. I do it because I fully and entirely believe that women deserve to take better care of themselves, to be strategic in their careers and to stop doubting themselves.

I've never met someone with absolute rock solid confidence and sense of self who has lost their spark.

Burnout = self doubt. Burnout = overachievement through fear. Burnout = chasing everyone else's goals.

I started this business because I was sick to deal of seeing brilliant, bright women slowly fade, give up, ship out from trying to do be and have it all at once.

The premium pricing model doesn't work for me because I love client contact. Even back as a lawyer, the thing I adored most was client contact, spending time on the phone or face to face with the people I represented and ascertaining their goals, the goals beneath the goals (there was always more than they admitted first up). Creating a plan of action and helping to bring that vision to life. Sitting on the floor with their dogs. Always the dogs.

The high price low contact model works if you want to work 5 hours a week and lie by the pool the rest of the time. It doesn’t work for me; I love spending time with my clients, I love being busy and on-the-go and the more I have to do the more I can achieve.

Yes, I’m the former burnout queen who loves being busy, in demand, appreciated, achieving. Just. Like. You. The difference between burnout and loving your life is whether you’re achieving your goals or someone else’s.

Over the past couple of months it’s been slowly dawning on me that the way I ran my 1:1 work was all wrong.

I don’t want 6 hours of client contact a month. I was 6 hours of client contact every week. I want my evenings to be booked with back to back calls and to make a serious and significant difference to the women around me.

So, why not go hard and fill my 1:1 book with clients at £2k a pop, like I was taught?

Have you ever tried to sell something that you really, truly don’t believe in? You won’t do it. Unless you’re the world’s best salesperson in which case kudos to you but I imagine you’re slightly dying on the inside. You should book a 1:1 call with me.

It felt wrong.

Is that the wrong answer for business? Aren’t we supposed to sell greed is good and more more more and go harder and faster? My training tells me I’m not supposed to rely on my intuition.

Except. Of course. I have ALWAYS relied on my intuition. Shout out to anyone who ever worked with me as a lawyer and got sick to death of me saying ‘I know this is the right answer, but can you remember the precedent? You know, the case with the farm, and the farmer, and the thing?’

If you’re still reading this congratulations because I have no idea if anyone even will. I feel like I’m rambling. But tough, because the message is the message.

Here’s the message for you: stop pushing a boulder up a muddy hill in the pouring rain. Stop eating peas in front of your mum even though you hate them because you once lied to spare her feelings and told her you loved them. Do what’s right for all, instead of doing what’s right for everyone but you.

Am I nervous to shed the old way of working and put on a new cloak? Hell yes. It didn’t work for me; maybe it will in the future, I know it works for plenty of other people. There are going to be a tonne of people who roll their eyes and think ‘Leah’s got a money mindset problem’ or ‘she’ll never go anywhere that one’, to which I say absolutely and watch me anyway.

Shall I tell you what I’ve decided to do?

I’ve decided to slash my prices.

Massively.

Or teeny tinily?

I’ve decided to open up my 1:1 to a whole new market of women who want to make changes but for whom £2k is nearly (or maybe even more than) a month’s salary, and that that makes it unaffordable.

Instead I’m going to be offering the following.

Work with me for 12 weeks, a 60 minute 1:1 via video call once a every two weeks, with unlimited support via messenger in between, for £950 pay in full, or £250/month (over 4 months).

For those of you doing the maths on your fingers, that’s less than half than I have been charging for the past year.

Does this make me nervous? Yes. Maybe I’m going to piss off past clients who paid more. Maybe no-one will buy because I’m pricing too low. I’m sure someone will tell me I’m still pricing far too high and should be doing it for the love of it and who the fuck am I to charge this when I’m not a certified coach (to which I will internally scream ‘coaching is not a regulated industry, I’m not a coach and who the hell asked you anyway’ for the 50th time this week).

But I’m also going to take it a step further.

To launch my new improved, more me way of doing business, I’m opening up 5 places at a further discount. Start working with me in February and work with me for 12 weeks for just £750 pay in full or £200/month x 4 monthly payments.

There is no lengthy application process.

Like me, like what I do? Click the link, book your first session and we start.

There are no bells and whistles. Previously I have loaded my 1:1 work with enough bonuses and special offers and discounts and extra courses that it looked a little bit like a donkey dressed as a racehorse. I mentor and train professional women who want to stop beating themselves up, stop chasing their tails and stop feeling like failing fraudulent fearful faffers.

My work speaks for itself. If it doesn’t speak to you, then I’m not going to add layer upon layer to convince you. That’s the difference between a professional and a plate of loaded nachos. I don’t come with cheese and sour cream, ok?

I’m refining the rest of my offers to make it as clear as possible what I do and how each layer of support, from my £14/month subscription programme to my highest level 1:1 (which at £200 a month feels tummy twistingly excitingly delicious. Or maybe I’m just hungry for nachos now?). Expect a website relaunch in the next week or so.

But for now, know this.

If you like what I do, want to spend more time getting support from me, snap up one of those 5 discounted places. It’s not a big jump from there to the full price but take the discount as my gift from reading 1316 words just to get here.

No application process. Message me if you have any questions, or click the link and book your first session.

Want to try it on for size? Grab one of the 5 remaining Career Clarity Intensives (posh word for a discounted one off 1;1 because I felt like it). These aren’t part of my regular repertoire and they disappear on 1st March/when the last remaining place sells.

Why am I sharing all of this instead of just launching my 1:1 at the new price?

Because lessons.

Because if you’ve read this you’re probably also wondering where you can make life more simple, more attractive for you and more in tune with your own values and beliefs.

Because a few people deserve an explanation.

Because I couldn’t not.

Work with me 1:1 for 12 weeks and you might just be amazed how much I’ll cause you to believe in yourself, back yourself, follow your intuition and create a career and a life you love.

Maybe even enough to devote a 1500 word manifesto to it ??

Click the link below and let’s start working together.
