An Announcement from Frank Giammanco

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I am writing to let you know that First Vision Media Group, Inc. has been acquired by a Cleveland, OH-based publisher and will continue operating as it has since we launched it in September, 2000. Shawn Mery will remain with First Vision as will the rest of the staff. The new owners and Shawn look forward to continuing the growth of First Vision Media in the years ahead, and I will be one of their biggest supporters.

 Having sold my interest in the company, I am excited to use this opportunity to begin a new chapter as an industry consultant to provide marketing, research, strategic planning, advertising and public relations services to the community at large. 

 I am confident that the unique, high level insights gained after 35 years as a publisher in the optical industry will enable me to bring valuable hands-on insights to my new role. I have seen what does - and does not - work as companies in our industry build demand and create competitive advantage. Translating these insights into successful programs will be the core of what I intend to do next.

 Please feel free to touch base with me for any reason, but certainly if I can be of service to you and your company.

 So I’ll be wearing a new hat but it’ll still have a big “O” for optical on the front. I want to thank you for your support and friendship over numerous years, I look forward to speaking with you soon.
