?? ANNOUNCEMENT! ??

It's been a whirlwind 6 months since I made (what felt at the time could be either the stupidest or best) decision of a lifetime - to go down a new path and start a whole new thing – without having much of an idea about what, where or who that might be with.

I have had the most energising few months with literally hundreds of wonderful conversations over coffee, brunch, lunch, the odd wine and G&T and of course, Teams & Zoom with an amazing group of incredibly supportive family, friends, clients and colleagues that I'm extremely grateful to for your collective support and love, and I have been able to spend much more time with my children, which is of course, the most important thing of all.

Many of those conversations have resulted in further connections to new people and new organisations - both locally around the world - all of which have collectively opened my eyes to possibilities I had never considered and bought me the confidence to believe that I am, in fact, already on the right path.

I am hugely grateful to those people and businesses - both old and new connections - who have trusted and supported me by inviting me to collaborate on a hugely diverse range of engagements - from podcasts (some yet to land), keynote speaking (more in the works), writing commissions (there's a 14,000 word chapter in an academic workplace design book coming ? ??), new research partnership opportunities, reviewing yet-to-be-published books, being the APAC representative in Julia Hobsbawm 's global 'future of work' thought leadership cohort full of veritable workplace rock-stars, advocating for exciting people-centric workplace-enabling platforms such as Calven , Lisa Harvey's Happy Place & Boople, partnering with other businesses with complementary skills and offerings such as XY Sense , ViVA health at work & The Advisory Studio and on top of all that, providing my clients (thank you all!) with strategic workplace advice and briefs, business case support for new workplaces, design advice & reviews, workplace benchmarking, existing place activation, 'Future of Work' insights, CRE development advice and leasing support - just to name a few of the things I've been keeping busy with.

I also want to thank Brad Krauskopf and John Preece at Hub Australia for their continuing support in welcoming me as a member of the beautiful 44 Martin Place – the first time I’ve ever worked in a place that I’ve played a role in creating which is incredibly rewarding??.

So, I've decided to make it official, launching my own business, Placeology - a consultancy dedicated to offering experienced, independent strategic insight and advice to organizations who want to redefine their vision of modern knowledge work; and bridge the gap between work and workplaces, culture, leadership, process and technology.

Following my own purpose as an independent work futurist - being able to amplify beyond ‘design’ (which is what I have focussed on for the past 25 years) allows me to help shape the future of work and workplaces for organisations where the opportunity starts before and goes beyond purely spatial outcomes.
